Xtrm MassPay API | Global mass payments by API

Introducing Xtrm MassPay API: Send global mass payments in seconds

Our new MassPay API empowers teams to automate global mass payments directly from your existing systems. Now, you can trigger payouts to partners, contractors, and beneficiaries in multiple currencies with built-in compliance, recipient choice, and real-time visibility. In supported corridors, recipients can get paid anywhere in the world in seconds.

What is MassPay API?

MassPay API is an Xtrm capability designed to create and execute large batches of payouts programmatically. It supports multi-currency wallets, recipient self-serve options, and robust enterprise controls, allowing Finance, Channel, and RevOps teams to move funds at a truly global scale.

Tools that enable global reach

• Multi-Currency Support: Fund in one currency and disburse in many using in-platform FX.
• Recipient Choice: Offer flexibility with bank transfers, prepaid cards, gift cards, and more.
• Instant Rails: Leverage real-time payout networks for seconds-level settlement where available.
• Approval Policies: Implement role-based controls to ensure approvals are met before funds move.
• Program Tagging: Attribute payouts specifically to rebates, SPIFFs, commissions, or MDF for better tracking.
• Webhooks: Subscribe to payout events to trigger downstream automation in your own systems.

Where to deploy MassPay

The Xtrm MassPay API is not just a payment pipe; it is a strategic asset for companies looking to modernize their financial operations. By embedding global payouts directly into your workflow, you can solve complex payment challenges across various business models.

Channel Incentives & Partner Loyalty

Managing SPIFFs, MDF (Market Development Funds), and rebates manually often leads to delayed payments and frustrated partners. With MassPay API, you can trigger incentive payouts immediately upon claim approval or sales verification.

• The Benefit: Accelerating payment speed directly correlates to increased partner engagement and loyalty. By removing the friction of paper checks or slow bank transfers, you keep your brand top-of-mind for your channel partners.

Marketplace & Gig Economy Payouts

For platforms connecting buyers and sellers (or companies managing a large fleet of gig workers), speed is the primary differentiator. MassPay API allows marketplaces to execute high-volume, low-value transactions efficiently without being eroded by excessive wire fees.

• The Benefit: Reduce seller churn by offering "instant pay" options. Sellers and service providers are more likely to stay sticky to platforms that provide reliable, fast access to their earnings in their local currency.

Global Contractor & Vendor Disbursements

As workforces become increasingly remote and global, Finance teams struggle with the administrative burden of paying contractors across dozens of borders. MassPay API simplifies this by serving as a single endpoint for all international payments, automatically handling FX conversion and tax form collection (1099/W-8/W-9).

• The Benefit: Drastically reduce the operational cost of accounts payable. Your team manages a single funding source, while the API handles the complexity of local clearing networks and compliance checks.

High-Volume Customer Rebates

Consumer rebates are a powerful sales driver, but the fulfillment process is notoriously slow and opaque. Integrating MassPay API allows you to automate the validation and disbursement of rebates instantly.

• The Benefit: Transform a purely transactional rebate into a positive customer experience. Instead of waiting weeks for a check in the mail, customers receive digital funds instantly, reinforcing trust in your brand and reducing customer support inquiries regarding payment status.

3. Submit via API: Send the batch request and apply your defined approval policies.
4. Track Outcomes: Monitor progress via webhooks and real-time status updates.

Developers can find endpoints, payload schemas, and webhooks in the Xtrm API Documentation.

Ready to automate your global payouts?

For Developers: Explore the Sandbox

We believe in a "developer-first" experience. You can access our comprehensive API documentation to understand the schema, authentication methods, and payload structures immediately. We provide a fully functional sandbox environment where you can generate test API keys, simulate complex global payout scenarios, and test webhook responses without moving real money.

• Review the Docs: Access full endpoint references and code snippets.
• Test Your Integration: Validate your JSON payloads and error handling in a safe environment.
• Simulate Webhooks: Ensure your system listens and responds correctly to payout status updates.

For Finance & Ops: Define Your Architecture

While developers build the connection, your operational teams can define the business logic. This includes setting up your funding sources (bank accounts, virtual wallets) and establishing approval policies. You can configure role-based access controls to ensure that no batch is processed without the necessary sign-off from your finance controllers.

• Map Funding Flows: Determine which currencies and entities will fund your wallet.
• Set Compliance Rules: Configure tax form requirements (W-9/W-8) based on your recipient demographics.

Launch a Pilot Program Today

You don’t need to migrate 100% of your volume on day one. We recommend identifying a specific use case—such as a monthly partner rebate run or a specific vendor batch—to run as a pilot program. This allows you to benchmark the speed, verify the data flow, and witness the recipient experience firsthand.
